Fine quality early Victorian golden mahogany pedestal desk.  The nine cock beaded drawers of a good, hand-cut, dovetailed construction with oak linings, the original turned knob handles and working locks. The back and sides are well polished and with an imitation burgundy leather that could be changed to suit.
