Stunning Georgian burr walnut bureau bookcase in original condition. The top section with 2 lockable glazed doors enclosing adjustable shelves. The base with 4 long drawers of a good hand cut dovetailed construction with oak linings, feather banded inlay, solid brass plate handles and working locks. The locking fall enclosing an attractive stepped interior with numerous small drawers, locking door and secret compartments. All mouldings are hand carved in solid walnut.
